We help you build smarter,
not harder.

Building a PC is one of the best decisions you can make — but the process can feel overwhelming. Thousands of parts, confusing specs, and an internet full of outdated advice and hidden agendas. That's exactly why BuildPCStack exists.

Our goal is simple: give you clear, honest, up-to-date guidance so you can pick the right parts for your budget, assemble them with confidence, and actually enjoy your build. No hype, no filler, no recommendations designed to earn us a bigger commission.

Every guide on this site is written from real-world experience. We've built budget rigs, high-end workstations, silent HTPCs, and everything in between — and we share what we've actually learned, not just what sounds impressive.

Why trust BuildPCStack?

Three things we hold ourselves to on every piece of content we publish.

Affiliate-neutral recommendations

We participate in the Amazon Associates Program, but our recommendations are made before checking commission rates. If the best part for your build happens to pay a lower commission, we still recommend it. Period.

Real hands-on experience

Our guides are written by people who have actually built and benchmarked the hardware we write about. We don't copy-paste spec sheets and call it a review. When we say a part runs cool under load, we've measured it.

Kept up to date

PC hardware moves fast. A "best CPU" article from 18 months ago might be sending you toward a dead platform. We revisit our top picks every month and update our guides whenever the competitive landscape changes.

Alex Nguyen

Founder & Lead Writer, BuildPCStack

I built my first PC in 2017 on a $400 budget using a used Core i5-6600K and an RX 480 I found on sale. That machine played everything I wanted at 1080p for three years before I upgraded it. The experience taught me that smart part selection beats raw budget almost every time.

Over the past eight years I've built gaming rigs, silent home theater PCs, Plex media servers, and professional video editing workstations for friends, family, and myself. I've watched the GPU shortage, the DDR5 transition, and the AMD platform wars unfold in real time — and I've learned which changes matter and which ones are marketing noise.

I started BuildPCStack because I was tired of watching people overpay for parts they didn't need, buy incompatible components, or give up on the hobby after a confusing first experience. This site is my attempt to be the knowledgeable friend who actually knows their stuff — and tells you the truth.
